PIF TICK

PIF TICK is the UK’s independent quality mark for trusted health information. Run by the Patient Information Forum, it certifies organisations and individuals who produce health content that is evidence-based, accessible, up to date and created through a robust, transparent process.

To achieve the PIF TICK, creators must meet 10 quality criteria covering areas such as evidence, user involvement, accessibility, staff training and feedback.

When people see the PIF TICK logo on websites, leaflets, videos or other resources, it signals that the information has been independently assessed and can be trusted.

A wide range of charities, NHS organisations, professional bodies and healthcare companies have achieved the PIF TICK quality mark. Examples include:

  • Allergy UK
  • Anaphylaxis UK
  • Crohn’s & Colitis UK
  • Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
  • Royal College of Anaesthetists
